The Urban Core Climbing Competitive Team traveled to Athens, Ga today to compete in the Active Climbing Gym USA Climbing SCS competition.  Urban Core Climbing Team had one of the biggest turn outs in a competition of 124 climbers!  Congrats to all the competitors and a job well done!

Thank you to all who came out to the Urban Core Climbing Annual Belay-a-thon Scholarship Fundraiser this past Saturday ay Stone Summit Climbing & Fitness Center!  Our team raised $753.75 this year!  We could not have done it without you!  We had an anonymous    donor who purchased a SS membership for a young climber on our Jr. Competitive Team who has been financially struggling to maintain a membership and team dues  Thank you community!

Jamie Dunlavy, Riley & Olivia Ogier are competing in the USA Climbing ABS National Championship in Colorado Springs this weekend! They competed against 37 of the top female climbers (ages 12-13). The girls have been amazing and bright all weekend, frolicking in the snow, seeing new sights and crushing some boulder problems.

The competition started Friday morning.  The first round of qualifying rounds consisted of 4 boulder problems climbed in 4 mins of followed by a 4 min rest. The problems for their category range v4-v6. The twins gave a hard fought effort in the qualifyers each flashing first and completing the second problem. Jamie flashed her first and second problem and completed her fourth problem placing her in 8th and going to semi-finals. Jamie returned Saturday afternoon for semi-finals with the top 16 climbers. Semi finals consisted of 3 boulder problems. She flashed the first problem and scored high enough on her second and third problem to advance to finals in 10th place. Finals takes place Sunday. Jamie starts to crush at 9:30a. Cheer her on through our FB page and emails!
