Camp Drop Off/Pick Up
The drop off/pick up times for the UCC Summer Camps are as follows:
Session 1: Ground School
Session 2: Base Camp
- Drop-off time: 8:30a-9a
- Pick-up time: 4p-4:30p
Session 3: Southern Rock Tour
- Additional waiver forms are required for this camp. Please submit these forms by mail or in hand on or before 7/10. Thank you!

Procedures & Guidelines
- A staff member will be present for drop off and pick up.
- The parent/guardian or persons authorized must sign in and out all participants with a signature and time.
- Under no circumstances will climbers/campers be able to sign themselves out.
- Participants will only be released to individuals listed on the child’s Health and Waiver Form. This will require the presentation of acceptable identification to our camp staff from those persons registered to pick up the climber/camper.
- If you need to take your child from the program before the close of the day, please call the UCC Summer Camp Phone line at 404.441.6072 and they will notify the camp staff of the changes.
Safety
- For the safety of climbers/campers and other facility visitors, please observe a safe parking lot conduct and cautious driving speed when you drop off and pick up your child.
- Do not leave children unattended in the parking lot or park.
- Only the child participating in the UCC Camp Series has permission to climb in the facility. All other children must remain by parent/guardian during drop off and pick up.
Lunch
Session 1, 2 & 4: Participants should bring a lunch meal and drink daily or they can purchase a meal and drink from the Stone Summit Climbing & Fitness Center Café. Camp will break daily for nutritious snacks provided by UCC. If your child has allergies, please provide that information on the Health and Waiver Form as well as make camp staff aware the first day of camp. Climbers/Campers should bring their own nutritious lunch and drink daily to camp. We will break for 30-40 minutes for lunch. Climbers/Campers are expected to clean up after themselves and wash their hands before resuming activities. A nut-free eating zone will be provided in the gym or the outdoor climbing areas daily.
Enrollment Policy
Spots for each camp will be on a first come, first serve basis (with complete registration form, deposit and/or payment). No spots will be held without reservation form, deposit and/or payment. A wait-list is established for each camp. No camp will enroll over the maximum number of participants allowed. Wait-listed interest will be informed of the status of the wait-list via email weekly until 3 weeks before camp session date.
Discipline Policy
The UCC Camp rules and host facility rules are established to safeguard all participants from injury and maintain a safe, experiential and positive environment. If a discipline problem occurs, UCC staff will is a “thinking chair (time-out)” approach for a discretionary amount of time. Positive reinforcements will be used to encourage camper’s positive behavior, safety and respect for the rules. At no time will our staff yell, hit, punish, use sarcasm or belittle any of the children. For the safety and well-being of other participants, children who are unable to behave appropriately after repeated attempts may be removed from camp at the expense of the parents and/or with no refund issued.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations more than 3 weeks prior to camp will be refunded less the non-refundable registration fee. Cancellations of camps fully paid within 2 weeks prior of camp will be refunded 50%. Cancellations within 1 week of camp cannot be refunded. No refunds or credits will be given to no shows. If a participant is forced to leave camp due to injury, illness or family emergency, a prorated amount of up to 50% of the fee may be refunded. UCC may cancel any camp due to weather, enrollment or logistics complications and will grant full credit towards another camp or UCC programs.
Personal Items
Participants may bring their own UIAA standards approved climbing equipment.
The following additional items are permitted at camp:
- Daily medications—(must be labeled w/ dosage and administration time)
- Sun screen
- Extra drink
- All cellphones must be put away during camp and can only be used to call parents
The following items are not permitted for use during camp hours:
Ø Electronic game systems
Ø Electronic music systems
Ø Candy
Ø Books!
The following items are not permitted at all in UCC camps:
Ø Portable electronic devices
Ø Knives
Ø Matches or Lighters
Ø Fireworks
Ø Pets
Ø Drugs or Alcohol
ExperientialLife/UCC is not responsible for lost personal items, homework or books. Please place the participants name on everything. Items will only be held in the lost and found for 1 week post camp.
Financial Assistance
Urban Core Climbing powered by ExperientialLife, is always searching for program funding from local companies and the community to support the scholarship program for the Urban Core Climbing programs, teams and summer camps. Financial assistance for any of the summer camps is based on need and a sliding scale. Parents or guardians of the camp participants must fill out a Camp Series Financial Assistance Application and submit along with the registration form and camp deposit. After reviewing the application, you will receive an email or postal mail confirmation regarding the adjusted and remaining camp fees.
