At urban core climbing there is a place for everyone. My daughter is autistic. She began climbing with Emily when she was 7. She started in her Saturday program. After 2 years she progressed to club team. During this time she has learned to interact with her peers on a level we were told would be impossible for her to achieve. Emily is one of the most patient people on the face of the planet. As my daughter continues to grow and blossom under her tutelage. It definitely takes a village to raise a child, and even more so – a special needs child. My child’s village has been totally enriched with Emily’s presence.
